HOUSES OF HOPE
This quilt features a traditional style fusible applique house block that can be
hand or machine stitched with a blanket stitch. The original pieced picket fence border looks great and your
use of special prints can create a customized look. It's a great pattern for a friendship quilt! The pattern includes
instructions for customizing the size to your needs -- the one in the photograph is approximately 40" square, but my
first version is 66" by 86". 70¢ of the sale of every pattern is donated to the Appalachia
Service Project which works to provide needy residents of the Appalachian region with warmer, drier, safer housing.
I have participated in work mission trips on their behalf seven times and continue to work with a group of friends to
provide warm and cheerful quilts for families. Thank you for helping me continue to support their good work!!
