I've taught quiltmaking since 1977 and specialize in machine
piecing skills, understanding the use of value and color, and exploring creativity. My favorite part of teaching
quilt making is to foster self confidence and creativity in my students. I share techniques and tips with
you that will help you take your skills to a new level in both accuracy and satisfaction. I encourage you to make quilts
that reflect your personal preferences inspired by all the exciting possibilities of quilt making!
On this site, you will find my teaching schedule plus a list of workshops and
lectures I offer. There is also an on-line shop of my patterns and the products I use in my classes.
I'm available to teach for guilds, shops, as well as small groups of friends in your home! I am happy to answer
any questions you have about my classes, patterns, or the on-line shop products. I look forward to working with

This is Harley -- my chief assistant. She certifies quilts for comfort,
holds down piles of paper, makes salad out of quilt pieces not yet sewn together, and knocks things over. She also
forces me to slow down and take time to sit with her in my lap and scratch her head.
